By 500 am readings in those locations were hovering near 40°. It was a warmer night in southern and coastal locations where low temperatures ranged through the 50s. High pressure will crest over the region today resulting in mostly sunny skies and temperatures well above normal for this time of year. A large complex of thunderstorms over the northern Great Lakes will send high clouds streaming across the region at times especially in the afternoon but thicker clouds from this system should not arrive until this evening and overnight. Expect high temperatures of 75 to 80 in the north and in the lower to mid 80s in the south. A developing sea breeze will hold temperatures in the 70s in coastal locations. === The weather observed at WHITEFIELD, NH at 08:52 AM EDT was: === The skies were clear.
