Were were mainly out of the west at 5 to 10 mph. Morning low temperatures were in the low to mid 40s. A west to northwest wind flow will continue today as the region remains between low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes and high pressure over the Ohio valley. Some sprinkles could dot regions along and north of Mass Pike this morning, otherwise partly to mostly cloudy skies will blanket the sky today. Highs this afternoon will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s. For tonight, a west to northwest wind will prevail and skies will be partly cloudy. The exception is across far eastern areas, namely the Cape where clouds are expected to advance overnight ahead of yet another upper level disturbance. Lows will range from the upper 30s to upper 40s, northwest to southeast. For mid week, fair weather high pressure from the Ohio valley will begin to build east and try to build over New England. However, a weak front will move through eastern mass and possibly trigger an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Otherwise, under partly cloudy skies on Wednesday, it will become warmer with highs rising into the mid 60s to low 70s. With high pressure moving off the mid Atlantic coast Wednesday night, a return flow of air will bring a warming trend. Highs on Thursday and Friday will range in the 70s, but cooler along the south coast. The approach of a cold front from the west on Friday, will bring the threat for afternoon showers or thunderstorms. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EDT was: === The skies were mostly cloudy.
