Clouds remained over southern New England overnight. A persistent band of
light to moderate rain lingered from just east of Cape Cod, across essex
county ma into southern nh. There were also areas of drizzle across eastern
ma. Temperatures at 6 am this morning ranged from 45 to 50°. This pattern will
continue through today, with the rain across the Merrimack Valley hopefully
tapering off to showers for a while this afternoon. Highs will be in the 50s
across the region. Unfortunately, yet another storm may bring more rain to
southern New England tonight into Tuesday. There is the possibility of
thunderstorms this time as well, which would lead to locally heavy rainfall.
