Overall, though it wasn't that bad of a day with a fair amount of sunshine and mild temperatures. The front was moving out to sea early this morning. In its wake a northwest wind was ushering in cooler weather. Despite quite a bit of sunshine today we should see highs several degrees cooler than what we saw yesterday. The one exception will be the mid coast where onshore winds gave that area a rather cool day yesterday, so todays highs will likely exceed yesterdays values. A weak area of high pressure will settle over the region tonight and Monday. This high will pull away to the northeast as low pressure off the southeast coast begins to push northward on Tuesday. Eventually this low will find itself moving into the Gulf of Maine and bringing with it clouds and the chance of rain to the region. At this time it looks like the rain should hold off until late Tuesday or Tuesday night. This low will be slow to exit the region on Thursday, about the same time that another low pressure system approaches from the west. This will keep the chance of rain in the forecast through Friday, and possibly into Saturday. === The weather observed at WHITEFIELD, NH at 08:52 AM EDT was: === The skies were clear.
