Early morning temperatures were in the 50s with light and variable winds. Mostly cloudy skies will be seen across the region today, although the sun will be out at times particularly in the morning. High temperatures should be between 70 and 75 across much of the region, although the immediate coast will be held in the 60s with east winds off the ocean. An isolated brief shower or sprinkle is possible in the afternoon but most of the day should turn out dry. Low temperatures tonight will fall into the 50s as skies remain mostly cloudy. Areas of patchy fog will be possible in the typically prone locations. An unusual early June coastal storm will bring rain and unseasonably cool temperatures to the region Wednesday afternoon and night. The rain may be heavy at times along the coast leading to areas of poor drainage street flooding. High temperatures on Wednesday will only be in the 60s and may fall into the 50s along the coast during the afternoon. In addition, northeast winds may gust to 35 mph along the coast. The rain should taper off to just a passing shower or two early Thursday morning. However, it will remain cloudy and unseasonable cool with highs generally between 60 and 65. Temperatures should warm back into the lower 70s on Friday as the sun pokes in and out of the clouds. Otherwise, another coastal storm may bring more rain and cool temperatures to the region Friday night and Saturday. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 08:54 AM EDT was: === The skies were partly cloudy.
