As of 5 am, temperatures across the region ranged from the mid 40s to the upper 50s. Once the fog burns off this morning, conditions should improve rapidly. Look for temperatures across the area to climb into the 70s as weak high pressure moves in. Patchy fog is expected to develop once again tonight as skies clear and temperatures drop to the saturation point. The weak high pressure will be short lived, as a low pressure system is expected to develop Wednesday night south of Cape Cod and then move north over the Gulf of Maine on Thursday. The track and intensity of this storm are both still uncertain, but coastal areas of Maine and New Hampshire could see up to an inch of rain from this storm. === The weather observed at WHITEFIELD, NH at 08:52 AM EDT was: === The skies were clear.
