Meanwhile low pressure was developing off the North Carolina coast. Clouds continued to spread into southern New England, especially near the coast. Low temperatures this morning ranged from the single numbers across the sheltered interior valleys to around 30° along exposed coastline locations of southeast New England. Low pressure will continue to track rapidly east northeast and out to sea today. Leftover clouds will give way to sunshine across interior locations. Meanwhile an onshore flow will allow clouds to linger along the coastline. High temperatures will range from the upper 20s inland to the mid 30s along the southeast New England coast. High pressure will settle over the region tonight. Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to drop into the single numbers once again across the sheltered interior valleys to around 30 along exposed shorleine locations of southeast New England. A developing warm front across New York state will bring clouds across southern New England Saturday afternoon. It will be seasonably cool with highs generally in the 30s, except around 40 along portions of the south coast.
