At 5 am temperatures ranged from around 30° across the northwest, to the low 40s southeast. Winds were out of the northwest at 5 to 10 mph. High pressure will build over New England today and tonight providing the region with clear skies. Temperatures will be a little above seasonal normals, with highs today will in the 50s, and overnight lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s. The high will move offshore Friday night and a return moist southeasterly wind flow will develop. A warm front will approach southern New England from the south during the day, while a vigorous low pressure system heads north toward the Great Lakes. Ahead of the warm front, light rain and dense fog could develop Friday night. The warm front will lift north Saturday and be followed by a cold front later in the day.
