Clouds lingered over parts of southern New England last night. Most of the
cloud cover was over the Connecticut river valley and Worcester hills, and
these leftover clouds should erode this morning. There was a wide range in
temperature before sunrise, as cold as the upper 20s in the interior valleys
and as warm as the upper 30s along the coast. High pressure will build over
New England today, then become stationary off the coast tonight and Tuesday. A
cold front will move through the Great Lakes Wednesday, then should stall over
New England Wed night and Thu, setting the stage for wet weather during the
middle and end of the week.
