Temperatures and wind chill values were similar or slightly warmer than the values of last Saturday morning but the upcoming night promises to be several degrees colder. Gale force wind gusts will continue through the day. Despite bright sunshine todays temperatures will only rise a few degrees from the lows at daybreak. Winds will slowly diminish later tonight, but even so, it will feel colder, under mostly clear skies Thursday will continue very cold with plenty of sunshine to start but flurries may develop in the afternoon in response to complex pressure developments in the western Atlantic. Parts of coastal Massachusetts, especially outer Cape Cod will probably have a more wintry feel as snow squalls sweep southward off the ocean and onto Cape Cod. Several inches are possible on the Cape. Even bostons north and south shores may pick up a dusting. Interior sections will clear late Thursday night but increasing wind will once again create bitterly cold wind chill values by dawn Friday, as an intense ocean storm develops well to the east of New England. The cold wind will continue through the day Friday then a slight warming trend arrives for the weekend, as high pressure slides to the south of the region. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
