Scattered snow showers moved through Cape Cod and the islands after midnight, while flurries passed across southern New Hampshire. The clouds kept readings steady most of the night, from the lower 20s in the interior to around 30 near the coast. Clouds will diminish early this morning, giving way to sunshine as high pressure builds south of New England today. Southwest winds will bring milder air to the region this afternoon, as temperatures top out in the 40s throughout much of the region. Skies will become cloudy again tonight, ahead of a cold front moving east from the Great Lakes. Scattered rain or snow showers are expected late tonight in northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, with scattered rain showers farther south and east. The cold front will cross southern New England Sunday morning, and should be exiting Cape Cod early Sunday afternoon. Behind the front, northwest winds will usher colder air into the region, setting the stage for a cold start to the work week. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
