However, clouds were pushing into southern New England from the west early this morning. Temperatures had fallen into the teens and low 20s across most of the region. A few locations, including Orange and Jaffrey, had 4 am temperatures in the single temperatures, while the 4 am reading at logan airport was 25°. Moist southerly winds will bring cloudiness to southern New England today. Highs will be generally in the 30s, except around 40 along portions of the south coast. Low pressure developing over the mid Atlantic states early Sunday will approach southern New England by Sunday afternoon, while an arctic cold front approaches from the Great Lakes region. Snow will be the story Saturday night, mixing with or changing to rain on Sunday. Total accumulations from tonight and Sunday may range from an inch or less in southeast Massachusetts, to 2 to 5" in southwest New Hampshire. After the cold front passes off the coast Sunday night, fair weather will return to southern New England.
