The only clouds left over southern New England at 5 am were found across Cape Cod and the islands. Temperatures from the upper 20s in the valleys of interior New England, into the upper 30s closer to the coast. High pressure over the eastern United States will move east today. Our current northwest winds will become more west and slacken as the day progresses. Once this high pressure reaches the mid Atlantic coast tonight, a warmer south to southwest wind will develop. A low pressure was situated over central Canada. The warm front associated with this low pressure is expected to push our way once the south to southwest winds develop. This front is expected to arrive in southern New England Friday afternoon.
