To get it OFF the rearstand, I stand next to the bike and put my leather and kneepuck clad knee in front of the footpeg. Literally 'hugging' the bike with my left arm, I lean down and grab the rearstand, and pull up so that the bike comes off the stand and leans against my leg/knee/thigh. I then push the rear stand away and straighten up, balancing the bike against my left leg until I'm straight and have hold of both handlebars. Then I do this balance act where I get my feet placed right so I can hold the bike and get on it at the same time. That's fun. Not. Getting the rearstand ON the bike is even more fun. First I gotta get the bike backed into the pit correctly. Then the balancing act to get OFF the bike. Lean the bike against my left leg and lean down to grab the rear stand. My bike doesnt have spools, (yet.) so you have to get the little arms on the stand to line up with the swingarm, get it all into place and push down, while balancing the bike with the left hand and left leg. Once, I was doing this, and the bike slipped off the stand and got caught sideways against my leg and the stand. I stood around struggling with this for about 5 minutes, 'til SteveyRacer came by and said to me, "You could ask for help, you know." I'm like, "Duh."
