Same goes >for Gayathri and all the other racing women for that matter. %^) But for me it was never about 'winning', which is why this particular crash frustrates me so much. (I allowed myself to forget that and tried to make it up in one turn...) Its about racing the track, and the track _always_ wins. Its there, month after month, and it doesnt matter how well or badly I did last month, its how well will I do now. today. this instant... But I totally understand Sarah's frustration. (She's gotten the email about me crying in the truck 'cause I can't seem to do any better than I do...) So everytime I end up hitting that wall, I relax and look for something else to do. Maybe I wont race this season, maybe I'll just run practice. Maybe I'll just do one race each month and work hard on maintaining concentration for all 6 laps rather then trying to do three races. Like Kevin Cameron said, each time you go on the track, you gotta ask yourself, "are you in, or are you out?" But since I'm doing it for fun and not 'cause someone's paying me, I can do that. :) Sarah, I'll get you a copy of last months RRW -- it had a GREAT article about an old guy getting into racing which talks about these things too... A pretty smart person said to me once, "You arent a racer 'cause you race; You race 'cause you are, at heart, a racer." And as long as its still fun when the green flag drops, and as my AIM timer works and I can keep racing the track... I'll keep doing it. at least 'til the money runs out.
