NRBQ Mailing List
I host a mailing list which discusses NRBQ. You are welcome
to join our little community. There are few rules to the
list. In general, we just ask that people try to respect
each other and understand that just because we all like the
same band, that doesn't mean we all think the same way about
other things. That said, I've been lucky enough to have
travelled to various parts of the US to see NRBQ and I've met
many really incredible people from the mailing list.
Other than that, most of the so-called "rules" are really
just typical list etiquette:
- No flame wars
- No personal attacks, character assasinations, insults, or slurs
- Please send messages to the list as "plain text" (not
HTML-formatted)
- Please do not send attachments to the list. If you've
got pictures or whatnot that you wish to share, put them up on
a website and let folks on the list know how to get to them.
- Please keep message subjects appropriate to what's in the
actual message.
- Please keep private, off-list exchanges private.
- When commenting on a message, if it's not necessary to
include the entire original message, please edit some of it out.
- For the most part, we try to keep mention of live recordings
to a minimum on the list, as the band isn't very keen on concert
taping and trading. However, there is a Yahoo group devoted to
tape trading of NRBQ (and other) shows.
Messages to the mailing list are available on a message-by-message
basis or via a digest (sent once a day, more or less). I've setup
a couple of forms which will hopefully make subscribing to the
list (or digest) fairly easy. These forms will send subscription
requests to the listserver (majordomo@world.std.com). You should
then receive an approval code in your email. You will need to
send this approval code back to majordomo in order to finish the
subscription process. Finally, you'll receive the list "Welcome!"
message.
