There's also a 3 second video of an Eider diving straight to the bottom for mussels, eider_down.wmv (200k), or, if you prefer QuickTime, eider_down.mov (321k) taken from the cliff overlook at Halibut Point. My "movie" just shows the eider as a white dot becoming smaller and smaller until it vanishes as it dives straight down. But I found a fabulous video on the web by Joel Heath that was taken underwater:
