DBUG November 2004 Agenda
17 on 17

DBUG's 17th Anniversary on November 17, 2004

When: Wednesday, November 17, 2004, 6 p.m. (Event Code B95)

Where : Build Boston Trade Show, World Trade Center
Amphitheatre at the World Trade Center,
Build Boston Trade Show (info & directions)
Commonwealth Pier, Northern Ave.
Boston, MA

(Undocumented "Cheap Trick" -- if you forgot to register in advance and want to only attend the DBUG meeting and not the trade show, you "may" be able to use the upper level entry at the trolley turnaround and take escalators down one flight to the amphitheatre level -- no guarantees.)

Please take advantage of the free appetizers and cash bar in the Exhibition Hall Reception (starting at 5 p.m.) Or for more substantial fare, go to the cafeteria, or brown bag it. At 6 p.m. join DBUGers young and old in the amphitheatre (double check on location for Event #B99)  to enjoy dessert with some DBUG's 17th Anniversary Cake.

* Greetings, Gathering & Gateau (cake)

* Introductions & Announcements

* DataCAD Past: Let's Play DBUG Jeopardy! by Evan H. Shu, FAIA
Join Host Evan "Trebek" Shu as leads everyone in a fun-filled and competitive look
at DBUG and DataCAD's history, facts, and trivia over these past 17 years.

* DataCAD Present: Icon Toolbars & Key Customizations by Michael Smith
Mike will show everyone how to make custom Icon Toolbars, including buttons
and drop-down options.  Next he'll show customization of the Alt and Ctrl
keys.  Even if you have done these customizations before, the format in DataCAD
v.11 is different, so even experienced DataCAD users need to pay attention!

* DataCAD Future: What's Up Their Sleeve by Michael Smith
DATACAD has indeed been working (albeit secretly) on some "smart" features for
the next major DataCAD version. And to prove it, we got DATACAD's permission to
show you a quick glance at a few of the smart features that were "hidden" in the
last BETA versions for testing. Here's your chance to get a sneak peak preview
at the "smarts" in a future DataCAD version.

Could there be prizes and giveaways at this meeting? Could be,
but for sure there will be free cake and generous conviviality,
so please come to DBUG's 17 on 17!

*Note: AIA Members can earn 3 CEU credits for attending this DBUG Meeting,
Massachusetts Registered Architects earn 3 continuing education HSW units.
