BASIC LESSON: Exploring Pen Tables in DataCAD 12
by Greg Barriere, AIA
Greg will explore the concepts and hurdles to using the Pen Tables feature in DataCAD 12, which allows you to assign plotting pen sets based on scale, so that the same plan or detail printed at 1/8" scale can look uniform with same detail printed at 1" scale.INTERMEDIATE LESSON: o2c Navigation & o2c_Interactive
by Evan H. Shu, FAIA
Evan will show you the lesser known navigation commands in using the Object (o2c) Viewer in DataCAD. He will then move on to show how you can use these tools for greater rendering use in the hidden gem of a program called o2c_Interactive, which allows direct "click and see" assignment of textures for easy viewing of design options.ADVANCED LESSON: Finding and Using 3D Resources
by Bill Huther, BH Design Consulting
Bill will show some of the many online sources of useful 3D model components/textures and show how they can be imported for use in DataCAD drawings and models.
Note: AIA Members & Massachusetts Registered Architects can earn 3 CEU credits for attending.
Broad Street is one block west (up State Street) of the Custom House
Tower on
Boston's waterfront. From the corner of State and Broad Streets, 52
Broad St.
is one block south on the left side, on the corner of Milk and Broad.
Parking
is available on the street (theoretically). There are some nearby street
lots
and the nearest parking garage is located immediately in front of the
New
England Aquarium across the Southeast Expressway. Best bet is take
the "T" in to State Street or Aquarium stop.
