by Guy Compagnone, LEED AP & Adam Bowen, Senior Project Manager, LEED AP

In a building tour of the Chapman Construction LEED Platinum (pending) facility,
They will review strategies and methods used to both reduce building energy loads for heating, cooling, and lighting; 50% water use reduction, as well as the use of a 47kWh solar panel array to satisfy 90% of the electricity needs this commercial building. We will see in place the ways that the Chapman Building creates a  design strategy to increase daylighting, improve indoor air quality, reduce heat  island effect, and enhance the indoor/outdoor connection.

adhesives, sealants, minimizing impact over the full lifecycle, construction

changes in the new LEED 3.0 standard which addresses key environmental issues,
ecological goals through design and innovation, and full life cycle evalutaion
