6:00 Pizza / Reception

6:15 Welcome, Introduction, General Announcements

6:30 New in 12.05: A free upgrade to be released shortly. We'll show some of
the new features such as export to SketchUp, "Pack-n-Go" (to save every
aspect of a project to a single compressed file for easy transport), a
revised Layer Manager, and better handling of voids.

7:15 A Stacked Deck:  Why don't ACADers "stack" their floor plans? A very
basic primer on how ACAD operates that often causes users to separate their
plans side-by-side instead of stacked on top of one another. (Disclaimer:
we're not ACAD gurus.)

7:45 BREAK:  Time to grab some refreshments, network with colleagues, and
share some tips and tricks.

8:00 DataCAD 12 Smart Objects:  What have we learned about the new "smart"
entities in DataCAD in a practical sense (its pluses and minuses), and how
to work with them. Rendering options and how to use them. As time permits
we'll also show what else we like about v12.
 

DIRECTIONS:

We are located in a two-story office building on the Berlin/Hudson town
line, at the intersection of  I-495 and Rt. 62, just minutes from Rt 3, Rt
2, I-290 and I-90.  The office is very easy to get to, with ample parking,
so we hope you will come out to visit us.

>From Points North:   Take I-495 South to Exit 26 (Rt. 62).  At the bottom of
the ramp take a RIGHT onto Rt. 62 East.  After passing under I-495 you will
pass Gates Pond Road.  Directly after that road is our office, on the right
(2-story, brick and clapboard).

>From Points South: Take I-495 North to Exit 26 (Rt. 62).  At the bottom of
the ramp take a RIGHT onto Rt. 62 East.  You will immediately pass Gates
Pond Road.  Directly after that road is our office, on the right (2-story,
brick and clapboard).

Once there go to the farthest set of glass doors (Entrance #3), at the
southeast corner of the building, and go upstairs.
