| Hi Sandy,
I just want to thank you, again, for the help on my essay to INSEAD. I got the admit a few days ago and am heading to Fontainebleau! Prior to using your service, I got dings from H/S/W/MIT/Col and only one admit from NYU (via waitlist). But after incorporating changes that you suggested, I got into January 2003 at INSEAD. I can't think of a better way to show how valuable your advice are. Thanks again, and I'll make sure my friends know about your service. |
| I thought you might be interested in my final application tally. I
applied to a total of 13 (yes, 13) schools due to my glaring gpa weakness
(2.49 at UMASS not to mention flunking out), my age (33 this month), and
my wife's job and relocation flexibility - as well as some very helpful
and understanding recommenders. Anyway, here are the results.
Chicago - in/Babson - in with full scholarship /BU - in with $18k scholarship /Yale - waitlisted /Sloan - invited to interview - ding /NYU - invited to interview but pulled app before interview /Columbia - ding //HBS - ding //Georgetown - ding /Wharton - ding /Tuck - ding /Kellogg - ding /Cornell - ding /I am going to attend Chicago and considering everything, I am very pleased to have been accepted. Your service was clearly a big help to all of my applications. I never would have taken a calculus class last summer without your advice and it did impress many of the admissions people. Thank you for all of your help and patience. I will be sure to pass your name along to anyone who is looking for help with applications next year. |
| Sandy, You are the unseen angel in my book - a
person who helped me realize a life-long dream and whose face I have never seen. I am having a great time now that all is behind me, as you said. --------- is not selling as fast as we had hoped and it seems I'll be going to Stanford not yet knowing what my stock options will be worth, if at all. On the other hand, Stanford came through with a very nice financial aid package including a nice fellowship. I just got back from a week in the Bahamas (Turks and Caicos) and I am now in Israel on business and taking advantage of the opportunity to catch up with my family and friends. I take it that by a good season you mean a high admission rate, and if so, I am happy to imporve your statistics. |
| By the way I have not said it, but thank you so much for all your honest
and
great help. I have had a few current MBA students (Northwestern and Chicago GSB) read my stuff and they all said that my essays were absolutely awesome. Not sure if I have enough to get into Wharton but, I really feel I got all I can out of the essays. Getting ready to send in the next week or so, when I get my final recommendation in. Will let you know if my karma was good this year! |
| Hi Sandy,
Hope you still remember me. Just got the admit from CBS a few minutes ago. I had given up hope because its been so long after the interview. I am incredibly excited. Thank you so much for all your help. Your input made such a difference. The strong essays probably did the trick. I also got an interview invite from Wharton but looks like I will withdraw my application from there now. Again thank you very very much and good luck with everything your are doing |
| Sandy,
Not sure if you remember me, it's been almost 2 months since I've sent anything your way. Anyhow, I just received my admission notice for Columbia. I know I got in because I qualify, but I also know you helped me strengthen my application. Looking back, your pointed editing was exactly what I needed to hear. I know your remarks directed my efforts in the right way. At any rate, just wanted to thank you. Seems like I thanked you 1800 times a while back... :) Seriously, it was good working with you. |
| Sandy,
I made it! I am in Wharton and would like to pass my deepest "thank you" to you. I know it would be impossible without your help. You are the BEST!!!!! I am so psyched. |
| Hi Sandy,
Got admitted to Wharton. Pretty excited about it. Thanks for your suggestions on the essays. They proved to be really helpful. -- |
| Sandy, the miracle man!!
In at Wharton, Michigan and Duke. Got the Wharton invite right away, the invite came on the 11th and I submitted the app on the 23rd.. Having the Wharton essays complete gave me a chance to have soild answers to 'Why MBA, why now' and my 'weakest part of application' questions. Much of my Michigan and Duke material was based on the Wharton app, with of course your added help on Michigan #3:-). Thanks for all the help, it was great working with you! |

Got the call from Don Martin, a few minutes back. I am in. Phew, the wait is over. Thanks for all your help with this process. You definitely made a difference in my essays. I would have said that whether I got in or not. The only thing I am unsure of is whether to go interview or not at Duke on Feb. 1. I probably will go. Will keep you posted on MIT if they invite me for an interview. thanks for all your help again. |
| It was great speaking with you. Thank you VERY MUCH for all your help
with my essays. My Columbia acceptance would have been nearly impossible
without your HUGE help.
When I sent my first ever essay draft to you, you wrote back saying it was "BS, and full of hot air." Thanks for that, truly!:) I tore up my old essays, started afresh and closely followed your sharp advice. Your brutally honest, no sugar-coating feedback; shrewd and astute understanding of the bschool admissions process; and finally, your ability to "package" the applicant is what sets you apart from the everbody else. Your services are top-notch professional and your email exchange is prompt. To be sure, not everybody can work with you - it takes a special thick-skinned, yet SMART candidate to be able to handle your feedback. (LOL) But I did it - I'm glad I did. Now I am in at Columbia !!! "People like you get in, people like you don't", "Stanford-y", "tell them (Columbia Adcomm) your Doctor told you to drink only NYC water" are Sandy-speak that are a part of folkolore amongst your fans. I will whole-heartedly recommend your services to anybody (including my younger brother who gets ready for business school in the next couple of years). I'll be in touch. God Bless You. Best wishes, |
