Here is Nieve (spanish for snow), the newest addition to hour lives. She's a golden retriever, is approx 14 months as I write this, and is a sweetheart.

That blur behind her is really her tail

Here is Ulysses, just after we got him. In case you noticed his lack of fur, he had been very, very matted and had to be shaved. You will note his intense focus on Karen - even though she was just loading the dishwasher, she might have food, right?

Another pic of the new guy, with Sheba on his right.

Ulysses when the shelter got him (in his role as a yak)

He needed to be clipped, so here is him, now playing the Chinese Crested

He has his fur back!

Don't take my picture!

A great picture of Karen (probably holding court at a Ferret Symposium or some such)

This is me with (l to r) Pandora, Conan, Freya, Nosy, and Sheba. The shirt was a gift from my wife.

Karen holding Calyspo, our little girl (and only remaining ferret).

ditto

Calypso sleeping on Magic

This is Pandora, who was with me from 1989 until she passed away in 2003. This is definitely an example of a dog raised by a "village" of friends.

This is Sheba, Karen's watch/guard dog.

Here are Conan and Nosy cuddled up together.

Paco and Dozer, two of our three boys (actually, Magic is under there too!)

Rascal was my Dad's dog. He passed away 1/19/98. He will be missed. This picture is of his favorite game, playing with the tennis balls on the top of the stairs (he will eventually drop them down the stairs so someone can throw them for him).

Here is Princess, who was Pandora's best friend for years (now that we moved, Pandora has Sheba to play with, and Princess is too far away). I have long been accused of plotting to kidnap Princess and take her up to Montreal for Baseball and Poutine (sp).

Me with my harem of beautiful women!

Here is Hercules, another one of Pandora's buddies. Pandora would be fighting Herkie for a toy, and would get frustrated and start chewing on his neck. Then both dogs would think they win (Herkie not even noticing Dora through his thick fur).

A closeup of Rocky, a special guest ferret. Click here for a view with a little more room.

Here I am, waiting in line for tickets for Star Wars: Episode 1 (I had thoughtfully been laid off the week before, so I had plenty of time). That's me on the left, with Michelle, Chris, and Jen.

Karen Impressing a green dragon at FortFest 2000 (Pern Fandom)

Karen and Melissa terrorizing the Mormons in Utah

Don't worry, Mike, we didn't get *this* penguin for Erin!

An Australian bird of some sort, who was the Ferret group's tour guide at the Toronto Zoo, 2000

A butterfly resting at the Butterflies! exhibit at the Milwaukee County Zoo, 8/2000

Here is a squash that to me looked just like a duck taking off. I'm a little disappointed in how the pic came out.
