Essential Drawing Skills

4 Thursday Sessions:  3:30 – 5pm  (March  2, 9, 16, 23)

Location:  Princeton Center Building, 2nd Floor Arts Society Space

Age:  12 through adult

Cost:  $80 per person  (members)   $100 (non-members)

Class Size:  Limited to 8 students

Cancellation Policy: follow the Wachusett District snow cancellation Make-up class will follow the last class on the next Thursday

 

This session is for individuals who would like to improve their drawing skills through observation and understanding.  Sessions will include the concepts and practice of contour drawing, negative space, seeing shapes, and shading techniques for shapes into forms. Students will be given individual support and be able to work at a comfortable pace.

 

Suggested equipment:  14Ó x 17Ó or larger newsprint pad and drawing pencils.

Bring an easel if you have one.

Bruce R. Dean is a National Board Certified Art Teacher, a Master Teacher for Massachusetts, and a recipient of the Massachusetts Outstanding Arts Educator Award.

Bruce currently teaches art at Leominster High School, is a working artist, and founder and director of ÒExplore and Discover: A Museum ClassroomÓ.
