Doug & I were fortunate to be able to celebrate Australia Day with
the Sydneysiders! This picture is taken at Darling Harbour on a bridge
with Aussie Day flags waving. Monorail is above. Later
in the evening, tall ships came into the harbour for a sensational fireworks
display, the grand finale being fireworks launched from nearby city skyscrapers!
Part of the Aussie Day festivities included an antique car show. Pink cadillac in the background.
Neat statue in "The Rocks" area of Sydney which overlooks the Sydney Bridge and Opera House.
What would a Sydney web site be without a view of the most recognized building in the world?
Little cars leaving the antique show as Aussie Day festivities wind down.
We had the most amazing day at Bondi Beach. Weather was perfect,
seagulls were very entertaining, surf was great and we found a quiet spot
out on the rocks to chill out! The seagulls take off, fly around,
and land all in unision.
On the rocks at Bondi Beach. Tide pools and a wonderful breeze.
View of city from ferry as we cruised by the Opera House en route to Watson's Bay. Is this city ready for Jim and Lovely Laura?
A highlight of our trip was spending an evening with the gang
from UNIFI Australia. What a group! We wish everyone the best
in their future endeavors.
