Prague - Stare Mesto -old town square and heart of the city.  Monument is of the religious reformer Jan Hus.


Prague - Old town square.  Gothic Astronomical clock (1410).  Every hour it chimes with apostles, Christ, a skeleton and a cock appearing in its top windows.

Karlstejn - 33km feom Prague.  Karlstejn Castle (upper center) was built by Emperor Charles IV in mis 14th century.

Sedlec/Kutna Hora.  This Schwarzenberg Coat of Arms is made of human bones and is displayed at aGothic ossuary in Sedlec.  The ossuary, a truly macabre site, is decorated with the bones of some 40000 people.  In 1870, Frantisek Rint arranged the bones in the form of bells (in back), chandelier, monstrances, and this coat of arms.


Cesky Budejovice (Budweis) - Mural in a neat little coffee shop.


Ceske Budejovice (also known as Budweis,the regional capital of South Bohemia and original home of Budvar (budweiser) beer).   Great Square, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, is surrounded by 18th century arches.   Hotel Zvon occupies a number of buildings in picture.   Black Tower (1553) looms over the square.
