Open air market in Zagreb.  Martha is with "Princess  Victoria," who was refused entry into Hungary as she did not have the proper visa!  We befriended her on the train and visited Zagreb together.

Zagreb - Sculptures at the fabulous Museum Mimara, one of the finest in the world.  It contains the diverse  collection of Ante Topic Mimara, a private collector who donated over 3750 pieces of art from all over the world.

Split - Diocletian's Palace.    The Peristyle, a picturesque colonnaded square, is shown above.   Split is the heart of the Dalmatia region.  The Roman emperor Diocletian (245-313 AD) had his retirement palace built here from 295 to 305.

Split - Diocletian's Palace..    Martha is walking up the stairs of the Vestibule,an open dome passage way.  The Peristyle is a poplular spot for coffee and people watching.

Split - Statue of 10th century Slavic religious leaded Gregorius of Nin, who fought for the right to say mass in Croatian.  Sculptor is Ivan Mestrovic, the Rodin of Croatia.  We visited the Mestrovic gallery in Dubrovnik - absolutely fantastic.
