Missing Words:
A book of spiritual poetry
For some time, Peggy and I have been talking about
combining our writing and images into a book. The idea gained some
"traction" when Peggy read some of her poems at the
celebration of Meher Baba's birthday several years ago. I had
thought at the time, poetry might help Peggy further develop
language skills which had been destroyed by the stroke.
I came up with a simple layout and we chose our favorite poems
and selected photos we had taken over the years. As we were
compiling it, I noticed that a theme had developed: our search
for spiritual definition and our place in the world.
Unfortunately, Missing Words has yet to be printed.
While several people have expressed interest in distributed the
book once it is printed, I have yet to gather enough money to
print it. Until I do, I have included one of Peggy's poems below.

THE ROSE
by Peggy Wilson
Where did the Rose come from?
It was in the first day dreamed,
your kinship with the stars and moons
and little living things
And storms and waves were born with
the first cry of other-than-ones self.
The dreams of Love's glory
and separation was with the
sword fires at once in the same sleep.
Wandered out and played its cruel game.
The steps of the fandango danced to the end.
Though we sigh with affect and weep at
the scene where Romeo dies, start with fear at
the nightmare story, they were all in the original script.
The Rose implies the existence of the Nightingale.
