Boston Harbor[Water map]

For more than 300 years, the harbor served as both Boston's gateway and its cesspool. Today, the harbor is still the first thing visitors see when they come to Boston - Logan Airport is right on it, and many planes come in over the water. And thanks to the MWRA, the harbor is cleaner than it has been in decades - something appreciated by the dolphins and seals that have returned to it.
