What, you are surprised that I indulge myself with the idiot box? Dahling, how can I run my vast empire without keeping up with the
latest in pop culture? Lately I've been dabbling in science fiction - the shows that all
those Internet geeks who own millions in stock options like to watch - but I do enjoy a good
drama or comedy now and again. Here's my schedule:
Sundays:
- Their wacky shenanigans can be hard to follow at times, but I never miss the adventures
of Scully and her sidekick Mulder on The X-Files.
Mondays:
- On Monday it's Dilbert, who reminds me of the sort of employees
not to hire.
Tuesdays:
Wednesdays:
- After a hard day of managing my vast financial empire, I like to unwind with those improvisational fellows on
Whose Line is it Anyway?
Thursdays:
- There is nothing worth watching on Thursday nights!
Fridays:
- To replace my departed Friday night favorites, Millennium and Homicide, comes
a new show, Farscape,
which has succeeded in surprising me with its plot twists more than once.
Saturdays:
- I'm a Star Trek fan who's given up on Voyager, sadly, but I always tuned in to
Deep Space Nine before it ended
- There's also Earth: Final Conflict, a show written by a man
who's been dead for many years - nice trick!
- Thanks to the miracle that is the VCR, I can watch the soap opera/adventure series The Pretender,
which the local TV station shows opposite Earth: Final Conflict.
Gone But Not Forgotten:
- At last, Millennium ended, and I still can't tell you exactly what
it was all about.
- How dare NBC cancel Homicide! I shall have to buy out the network
immediately and show them what I think of their imbecilic programming department!
- Babylon 5 was THE thing to watch in its time! I shall have to take TNT to task if they
can't get their act together for the sequel series, Crusade.
