This document is to serve as an introduction to man (for manual pages). man is a useful tool for learning more about Unix commands and utilities. Use the man command to locate and print the titled entries from the on-line reference manuals. man can also be used to print summaries of manual entries selected by key- word or by associated filename.
To invoke man, type 'man keyword', where keyword refers to another command or utility. A Synopsis, Description, Options, Environment, Files, Caveats and See Also references are offered for the designated entry or keyword.
To best understand what man has to offer you, try using man on itself, for example: world% man man
