chfn

 
chfn allows you to change your real name, as printed by the finger and
whois commands, and that appears by default in your outgoing email
messages.  For example:

   world% chfn 
   Changing real name for jones
   Old name: Terry A Jones
   New name: T. A. Jones


   world% whois -u jones
   -User-     --Full name--           Idle TTY -Console Location-
   jones      . T. A. Jones                q82 annex (Virtual Terminal)
                                        6 r4  annex (Virtual Terminal)
                                        20 r18 annex (Virtual Terminal)
     [142,142]  ;  Group: jones  Shell: /bin/tcsh
     Groups: jones

     jones has no new mail, last read Wed 14-Dec-94 9:22PM
