Usenet
- Here's the famous FTP collection of
Frequently Asked Questions lists at rtfm.mit.edu. It is good to
read a FAQ before asking a question on a newsgroup; you may find
the answer there. These are text files; after downloading them you
can open them in a text editor or word processor. These days many
of the better FAQs have migrated to Web sites, but if this has
happened, you're likely to find an announcement here telling you
where to look.
Science Fiction
- Philip K. Dick (1928-1982) is my second favorite SF
author. He was a writer of great power and compassion, with an
intensely paranoid imagination. Fictava is the descendant of a huge
Web site about him. It's still got all that stuff, but now it's got
information on several other authors too.
Tee Vee
- Mister Rogers'
Neighborhood, the show that taught me that scary bad wishes
don't make things come true. This official PBS site has the lyrics
to some of Fred Rogers' best-known songs.
