I bought this for the incredible "Sail Away", version of the classic "Sail Away Ladies, Sail Away." The rest of the album is also delightful! |

| Wiener Blut by Johan
Strauss II

Johan Strauss II wrote 'Wiener Blut' to celebrate
the artistic and cultural excitement of Vienna in the last half of the
19th century. This resoundingly successful operetta plays to sell-out houses
in Vienna every time it is performed.
EMI Classics (D-50825) has reissued a 1976 2 CD set of an unabridged recording by the Chorus of the opera company of Koln and the Philharmonia Hungarica orchestra under the direction of Willi Boskovsky that is just wonderfully joyous and upbeat. |

This is what we are listening to as we weave. We know the story so well it really doesn't matter where we start and stop the CDs - and the CDs are so much nicer than the tapes because it is easier to find any particular spot in the book. The narrator, Jim Dale, does a superb job with the voices! |
