
Burning Bush - Texas
Cream Cheese, 1 lb
Onion, 1 large, minced
Dried beef, 4 oz (see below)
Paprika, optional
The best dried
beef for this recipe is the near east
Bastrama (obtainable
at near eastern or Greek specialty
stores). Failing
that, the german or swiss air dried beef
will work well.
Failing that, minced beef jerky or crumpled
crisp bacon will serve.
Mix room temperature
cream cheese and minced onion. (The
onion should not be too
wet. Drain on paper towel, as
necessary.) Form
into half inch balls. Roll balls in
minced dried beef.
Refrigerate. Serve on toothpicks.
