Light snow was moving across most of the region early this morning. The exception was the immediate south coast and islands, where the precipitation was a mix of light freezing rain and rain. Early morning temperatures were mainly in the low to mid 20s, except for the immediate south coast and islands where they were in the low to mid 30s. The light precipitation will exit the entire region by early to mid morning. Otherwise, a mostly cloudy day is on tap although we may see a few peaks of sunshine from time to time. Highs should range from the mid to upper 20s across southern New Hampshire and far northern Massachusetts, to the low to mid 30s south of the Massachusetts turnpike. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected tonight. A developing ocean storm will pass well to the east of the region. However, it will bring a chance for some light snow to the eastern Massachusetts coast with the best chance across Cape Cod and Nantucket. Additional snow accumulations look to range from a coating to 1" across the eastern Massachusetts coast, to between 1 and 2" across Cape Cod and Nantucket. Low temperatures will range from the single digits across southern New Hampshire, to the lower 20s across Cape Cod and Nantucket. On Monday, lingering ocean effect snow showers should depart the outer-cape by early afternoon. Skies should turn partly sunny but it will be a very cold day. Highs are only expected to top out in the low to mid 20s, with some upper teens across the high terrain. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
