Early morning temperatures ranged from 0 to 5 below across southern New Hampshire and northwest Massachusetts, to the single digits elsewhere. Fortunately, the wind was diminishing so it does not feel as brutal as yesterday morning. Clouds were already on the increase across the interior, out ahead of an approaching warm front. The warm front will move through our region today. Although it will still be chilly, readings will turn out much milder than yesterday. Highs should range from the mid to upper 20s north of the Massachusetts turnpike, to the lower 30s south of the pike. Readings across the islands may even approach 40 toward evening as the wind turns southwest and begins to blow off the ocean. Most of the day should be dry, but the warm front may produce isolated to scattered areas of very light snow showers or perhaps even light freezing drizzle. For tonight, generally expect mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be much milder than the last couple of days. Lows should range from the teens north of the Massachusetts turnpike, to the lower to mid 30s on Nantucket. Another cold front will move through the region very early Sunday morning. Behind the front, skies should become partly to mostly sunny. High temperatures should be mainly in the low to mid 30s, although it may be a tad cooler in the higher terrain. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were cloudy.
