After a sunny start, highs today will range from the mid 30s to mid 40s with increasing clouds this afternoon. Scattered flurries or sprinkles are possible late in the day across the interior. Tonight will feature a 1 to 4 hour period of showers. The showers will be snow or mixed snow and rain over the interior and fall mainly as rain showers along the coast. Spotty accumulations of around 1" are possible in the Monadnock region, Worcester hills and the east slopes of the Berkshires. Temperatures will be milder with southwest winds gusting between 15 and 25 mph. Lows are forecast to range from the mid 20s southwest New Hampshire and northwest Massachusetts to the mid 30s southeast coastal New England. Tuesday will be blustery with temperatures falling during the mid and late afternoon hours. Noontime highs Tuesday will range from the mid 30s in southwest New Hampshire and northwest Massachusetts to the mid 40s coast. It will be chilly early Wednesday under clear skies and lessening wind. Lows will be close to zero over some of the valley sections of southwest New Hampshire and northwest Massachusetts, and teens elsewhere.
