Otherwise, skies were mostly clear during the predawn hours. Temperatures ranged from the mid 20s to mid 30s early this morning, except the upper 30s on outer Cape Cod. A cold front will move off the coast today. Skies will average out partly cloudy across the region today. A few snow showers may sneak into western Massachusetts and southwest New Hampshire, all the way from Lake Ontario. Any snow showers will taper off this afternoon as skies clear. Winter chill has returned, with high temperatures ranging from around 30° over the eastern slopes of the Berkshires, ranging to the lower 40s on Cape Cod and the islands. Skies will become mostly clear tonight as high pressure builds off the mid Atlantic coast. Overnight lows will mostly be in the teens, except the 20s right along the immediate coast.
