Visibilities were down below 1/4 mile in many locations. Temperatures at 5 am were fairly uniform with readings within a few degrees of 30°. The fog will burn off after 8 am, then sunshine will give way to increasing clouds this afternoon as a cold front moves into the region. This front will likely bring some showers to the region later this afternoon into this evening, especially in the interior. It will be mild with temperatures topping out in the mid 40s to lower 50s. Any showers this evening may end as a period of snow showers over the higher elevations. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy tonight with lows ranging from the mid 20s to lower 30s. A partly sunny and cooler day is expected on Sunday with highs ranging from the mid 30s over the higher elevations to the mid 40s near the coast. It will also be breezy with west winds occasionally gusting to 25 to 30 mph. Looking ahead to early next week, an arctic cold front will deliver a bitter cold airmass to southern New England Monday night and Tuesday. Wind chills will likely be well below zero by late Monday night and early Tuesday. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
