Rain was overspreading the region from west to east during the predawn hours. Freezing rain was occurring in southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts, mainly north of the Mass Pike and west of Interstate 495. Icy spots can be expected here through 7 am. By 9 am temperatures should be above freezing throughout the region, ending the risk of freezing rain.
