Patchy fog formed across some of the interior valleys and low lying locations. Visibilities ranged from one quarter to one half mile at Norwood, Orange and Taunton Massachusetts. Lows ranged from the mid 50s across portions of the Cape and islands and interior valleys to the lower 60s in the urban centers. A backdoor cold front will make steady progress southwestward across the region this morning with a slight chance of a shower. In addition an isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible across the east slopes of the Berkshires this afternoon. Highs will range from the 60s along the coast to the 70s elsewhere except lower 80s across the Connecticut river valley. Low clouds and fog patches will begin to overspread much of southern New England tonight, especially after midnight. Lows will generally be in the lower to mid 50s. Low clouds and fog patches will persist Wednesday morning, especially along the south coast. A warm front will cross southern New England in the afternoon with some partial sunshine expected thereafter.
