Temperatures started the morning in a wide range, from the mid 20s in the coldest spots to the lower 40s in the warmest. The atmosphere is in slow down mode this weekend, with weather systems not moving much. So that high pressure area centered north of New England will remain there through Monday morning, bringing fair and very dry weather to our region. Along with bright sunshine, temperatures today will reach the 60s inland while a northeast wind off the water keeps coastal areas in the 50s. On Sunday, the air will warm up a few degrees. So temperatures will reach the upper 60s and lower 70s inland, while coastal areas are 55 to 65. A developing storm is over the ocean east of the Carolinas, and it is also not moving much. This storm will gather its strength, and then move north on Monday and Tuesday. This will spread clouds into New England Monday, and may also bring us a period of showers and wind from Monday afternoon through Tuesday night. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 08:54 AM EDT was: === The skies were clear.
