Over southern areas, it was partly cloudy. Temperatures will bottom out in the 40s across the region by daybreak Sunday. There will be a mix of sun and clouds Sunday morning, with the most sunshine over southern areas. Clouds will advance by late morning however. Showers and thunderstorms are likely during the afternoon and evening hours. A few of the thunderstorms may contain gusty winds and small hail. Look for highs to top out in the 60s, with 50s across the north. Showers will continue in northern and eastern Maine tonight. Elsewhere, expect a few scattered showers. Windy conditions will follow on Monday. There will be a mix of sun and clouds, with the most sun once again in the south. Scattered showers will bubble up, mainly during the afternoon hours. Low pressure will approach northern New England from the west today. It will intensify as it cross through central Maine this evening.
