A few showers moved through northern New Hampshire and the western mountains of Maine last night. Otherwise, it was partly cloudy and quiet across the region with temperatures holding in the 45 to 55° range. Showers will continue to build off the mid Atlantic coastline this morning as low pressure develops along the coastline. These showers will race into western Maine and New Hampshire this morning dropping a quick one to two inches of rain across the region. Thunderstorms are possible as well. Rivers and streams will be on the rise again, and it is possible flood warnings may be issued today. The coastal low will move into Quebec province tonight. There will still be a chance for showers, but the precipitation should be much lighter than today. Partly sunny conditions will continue on Saturday as the low remains stationary.
