Temperatures remained mostly in the 50s with light winds. The slow moving low pressure system that brought us yesterdays rainfall will continue to move northeast as it dissipates today. This will give us a cloudy morning with a continued chance of showers. Then a second low pressure system will approach this afternoon and rain will once again become likely. Temperatures today will be in the 50s over most of Maine and perhaps into the lower 60s over southern New Hampshire. The rain will continue tonight and may become heavy at times. This will necessitate a close watch on rivers and streams that have already received quite a bit of rainfall over the past couple of days. Temperatures tonight will range from the upper 40s over northern and mountain sections to the lower to mid 50s south. Right now it looks like some degree of wet weather will continue through most of the weekend, with some improvement coming Sunday night. By Monday, we should see the skies brighten and temperatures become more seasonable. === The weather observed at WHITEFIELD, NH at 08:52 AM EDT was: === The skies were cloudy.
