At 5 am, temperatures ranged from 33° in Orange to 51° at Chatham. With high pressure building across southern New England today, skies will be sunny. A few clouds may form along the coast as sea breezes develop, keeping temperatures a bit cooler there. High will be mainly in the 60s. Clear skies and light winds will be the rule across the region tonight. This could lead to patchy frost forming across the normally colder locations. Since the average date of the last spring freeze has passed across southern areas, some locations may need a frost advisory tonight. This includes interior portions of southeastern Massachusetts and northeast Connecticut, and possibly Marthas Vineyard and the lower Cape. The high will hang strong across the region on Monday, though clouds will be increasing during the day. Highs will again be in the 60s. Low pressure will slowly approach from the mid Atlantic coast during Tuesday, bringing the threat of rain. An area of high pressure will build across New England today and tonight, then will move off the coast during Monday. This high will stall offshore through mid week. Low pressure will form over the Carolinas today, then will try to push northward Monday and Tuesday. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 08:54 AM EDT was: === The skies were clear.
