Temperatures across the region were generally in the 50s. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain had fallen in southern New Hampshire and coastal southern Maine. Rain will intensify this afternoon as the low advances toward the Gulf of Maine. Temperatures will remain in the 50s throughout the day, with some locations in southern New Hampshire and southern and central Maine expected to receive one to two inches of rainfall before the rain tapers off Thursday afternoon. A flood watch is in effect for portions of southern New Hampshire and coastal southern Maine. Please refer to official National Weather Service flood watch products for further details. Looking ahead in the week, there will be a brief break from the rainfall Thursday night into Friday.
