Otherwise today will show a mix of clouds and sunshine and a couple of showers may develop this afternoon over northwest Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Highs will be a few degrees cooler than yesterday, generally in the 70s. Gusty northwest winds are expected to develop during mid afternoon over western Massachusetts and southwest New Hampshire. Skies will clear tonight and scattered frost is expected in northwest Massachusetts and southwest New Hampshire. Lows will range from the low and mid 30s in the frosty areas to within a few degrees of 40 elsewhere. Sunday promises to be an almost perfectly seasonable day with brilliant sunshine, very low humidity and a bit of a gusty northwest wind. Highs will be in the 60s. Patchy fog and a touch of late season frost is expected in portions of southeast Massachusetts, Rhode Island and northeast Connecticut early Monday morning. Dry weather lingers Monday and thereafter attention will turn to the possibility of a series of coastal low pressures systems that could make much of the remainder of next week, damp and chilly. On the weather map, a weak cool front was along the southern New England coast.
