At 5 am temperatures had slipped back a few degrees but where still well above the normal low temperatures for this time of year with readings in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Skies for much of the night were fairly cloudy with occasional breaks in the overcast. Aside from some spotty drizzle during the evening hours most of the region saw a dry night with areas of fog in sections that had partial clearing. Low pressure well southeast of New England was beginning to weaken as it remained nearly stationary early this morning and clouds over the region were starting to thin out. This trend will continue into early afternoon and temperatures will respond rapidly with highs in inland areas expected to top out near 70°. A developing sea breeze will knock temperatures back this afternoon in coastal areas where readings will reach the mid to upper 60s. === The weather observed at WHITEFIELD, NH at 08:52 AM EDT was: === The weather reported was fog.
